The Hawthorn Woods Police Department hosts its annual bike rodeo on Saturday, May 25, at Community Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Officers and village staff will be on hand for free safety inspections, bicycle rules of the road instruction and practice in Safety Town. Free helmets and T-shirts will be given to village youth participants. Free hot dogs and ice cream will be available, as well. Join the police department, McGruff the Crime Dog and village staff for this annual community event. Community Park is at Quentin and Old McHenry roads.
