By

Volunteers are needed from 9 a.m. to noon Friday, May 30 in Grosse Pointe Park, 900 Grosse Pointe Boulevard, Vernon Hills, to take part in a community planting project. Regina Cady, the Vernon Hills Park District's horticulturist, is leading the landscape project to beautify the ball field's outfield fencing. Volunteers are needed to plant Boston ivy around the fencing, plant native plantings in the lower parking lot island, and spread mulch. Contact Cady at reginac@vhparkdistrict.org.
