Judson takes 3rd at NCCAA tournament
The Judson University softball team lost to Shorter University of Rome, Ga., 5-0 Saturday and finished in third place in the NCCAA National Tournament at Boutetort, Va.
The Eagles finished their record-breaking season 39-19.
Judson had just 3 singles in the game, by Shannon Nevins, Allison Catlett and Maddie Smith.
McHenry graduate Sarah Boyer, who pitched all but 3 innings of Judson’s five games in the tournament, took the loss. The senior allowed 9 hits.
