The Barrington community is to have an academic state champion from the Barrington 220 School District.

This team is truly special, in the fall they won the Knowledge Masters Open ("KMO") International tournament. On April 28, they won the National Academic Quiz Tournament ("NAQT") National tournament and then won the Illinois state tournament this past Friday.

The team finished with a 69-1 record. The team members and coach Jeff Price put a lot of time and effort into their achievements.
