Alzheimer’s walk kick off party

The public is invited as the Alzheimer's Association® Greater Illinois Chapter kicks off the 2013 Walk to End Alzheimer's season from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 9, at the Hotel Indigo, 450 N. Milwaukee Ave., Vernon Hills. Walk staff and volunteers will be on hand to help attendees register and share fundraising ideas. Snacks and beverages will be provided. The goal is $125,000 in Lake County for the walk scheduled for Oct. 5. Contact Patricia Reinsch at (847) 324-0208 or preinsch@alz.org. The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research.
