Contest winners dine with bestselling author

The Arlington Heights Memorial Library recently hosted Vanessa Diffenbaugh, The New York Times best-selling author of “The Language of Flowers” for its From Page to Stage event held at the Metropolis Performing Arts Centre.

The popular author was welcomed by a capacity crowd in the evening at the Metropolis and by 70 people who dropped by for her afternoon book reading in the library’s Marketplace.

Before Diffenbaugh took the stage at Metropolis, she shared a special VIP dinner with 10 lucky winners who entered the library’s “Dine with Vanessa Contest.”

The author events were generously funded by the Friends of the Arlington Heights Memorial Library.
