Just a day before, the Judson University softball team beat No. 6 seed St. Francis 2-0 to kick off the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Tournament at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbannais.

On Friday, the No. 3 Eagles (37-17) were at it again with St. Francis, and held a 1-run lead heading into the bottom of the seventh. But 2 errors allowed 2 runs to cross, the last on a sacrifice bunt as Judson lost a heartbreaker to St. Francis 3-2 at Tiger Field, which eliminated the Eagles from the conference tournament.
