Quinn releases 2012 tax returns
Gov. Pat Quinn has released his 2012 federal and state income tax returns, which show the only money he earned was his governor’s salary of $160,421 and a taxable refund of $1,203.
Quinn’s returns indicate the governor paid $28,400 in federal and $7,716 in state income taxes last year. They also show the governor paid $4,052 in property taxes on his West Side Chicago home.
According to the returns, Quinn donated $7,535 to charity, and an additional $170 through voluntary check-offs on his state income tax return.
