More than 70 varieties plants will be available for purchase at the Lake County Forest Preserve District's 16th annual native plant sale. Rain barrels and compost bins will be for sale, too. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 11, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 12 at the Independence Grove Forest Preserve near Libertyville. Rain barrels and composts bins will be available May 11 only as supplies last.
