Quinn, Madigan set to address Realtors
SPRINGFIELD — Gov. Pat Quinn and a potential rival for his job will address a conference of Realtors in Springfield on Monday.
The Illinois Association of Realtors announced Thursday that Quinn and Attorney General Lisa Madigan will speak to the Illinois Housing Leaders Conference.
The three-term attorney general is considering challenging Quinn for the 2014 Democratic nomination for governor. Quinn was elected lieutenant governor in 2002 and 2006 and took the top spot in 2009 when former Gov. Rod Blagojevich was impeached and removed from office for political corruption.
Quinn won the job outright in 2010 and is running for a second full term.
Madigan will immediately follow the governor at the afternoon session.
The conference will open the Realtors’ annual lobby day, the IAR Capitol Conference, on Tuesday.
