Meet local authors at Arts Commission ‘chat’

Join the Arlington Heights Arts Commission for a “Chat with Local Authors” at 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 19, at the Arlington Heights Village Hall Community Room, Third Floor, 33 S. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights.

The panel features humorist Christopher Garlington, co-author of “The Beat Cop’s Guide to Chicago Eats” and the blog “Death by Children”; mystery writer Julie Hyzy whose books include “The White House Chef” mystery series and “The Manor House” mystery series; and children’s nonfiction writer Patricia Kummer, who has written more than 60 books on history, geography and biography. The event is part of the commission’s Artist Outreach series.

The authors’ books will be available for purchase, and autographing is scheduled before and after the presentation.
