The voters of Mundelein have many choices. Among them is the choice to go back to a Mundelein from days of old or to go to a new progressive and inclusive Mundelein. I believe the best choice for a new Mundelein, full of potential, is Steve Lentz. He is the best person to lead us as mayor because Steve has the experience, vision, communication skills, intelligence and integrity that we require in a good mayor.

As a village trustee, Steve has been involved in negotiations for many projects, including the development of the downtown. He helped get the best deal possible for our new village hall. We are on the cusp of great things here in Mundelein with several big projects in development. I would hate for Mundelein to postpone or lose entirely these opportunities while we wait for a new mayor to navigate the learning curve.

Steve has consistently voted against the tax levy, preferring that we tighten our belts rather than raise taxes. He has mastered the intricacies of municipal finance. His ideas and suggestions have helped to save the village time and money.

Mr. Lentz has been a contributing member of Mundelein for many years. He has experience being a leader in our community having lead both Mundelein Little League and MJFL. He has a proven style of leadership that is inclusive, professional and trustworthy. It is for all of these reasons that I heartily endorse and ask you to join me in supporting Steve Lentz for mayor.
