Arlington Heights native chosen for “Jeopardy” challenge

Arlington Heights native Daniel Donohue will compete for $100,000 Monday, April 8, and Tuesday, April 9, in Los Angeles in the “Jeopardy!” College Championship. He is majoring in radio, television and film at Northwestern University. The two-week event, which will air starting 2:30 p.m. Monday, May 6, on ABC 7, showcases 15 of America’s sharpest college students as they battle for the money and an automatic berth in the “Jeopardy!” Tournament of Champions. To qualify, prospective collegiate contestants took a 50-question online test; those who passed were selected at random to attend regional in-person auditions consisting of a second 50-question test, mock game play and a brief interview.
