Prigge understands needs of business

John Prigge, Elgin City Council, has my unequivocal and enthusiastic endorsement in the April 9 election. John also has received the unsolicited endorsements of the Realtor Association of the Fox Valley and the Illinois Association of Realtors, being one few candidates who have earned these endorsements in the entire state for the April 9 general elections.

As the longtime owner of an Elgin real estate company, I know the absolute necessity of a strong local housing market -- something that John has referenced time and time again during his campaign.

I've known John for many years. He is a fiscal conservative -- a man who truly understands the importance of city government doing more with less. He is keenly interested in representing all the taxpayers of our community, not just a select few.

John is not a special-interest insider. He has no hidden agenda. He's the only Elgin City Council member who is neither a current nor former government employee. Like me, he is an area business owner who has had to figure things out through some pretty tough economic times.

John not only makes himself accessible to people, but also listens to them, taking their concerns to heart. Listening, however, does not always seem to be a high priority among the other current council members. I've learned that through experience.

If re-elected, John will again bring a voice of candor and openness to the Elgin City Council, along with a strong sense of personal integrity and a vigorous work ethic.

John Prigge has my highest endorsement. Please vote for him for Elgin City Council on April 9.
