Poll Vault: Who will win more games — Cubs or Sox?

The Cubs’ 2013 season will begin Monday afternoon in Pittsburgh. The Sox will open at home later that day against Kansas City.

Over the years, Opening Day has given rise to some wild and wacky wagering in the Daily Herald newsroom on how Chicago’s clubs will finish. One season, a copy editor had to shave his beard to make good on a complicated bet involving team wins and individual stats.

What are your predictions for the year?

Which team will win more games? Which players will have huge seasons?

Will the Sox contend for the AL Central crown? Can the Cubs improve upon their fifth-place finish last year in the NL Central?

They’ll play four games against each other in late May. Who’ll win that series?
