House fire breaks out in Valley View

Firefighters battled a fire Friday night at 6N052 Weber Drive in the Valley View subdivision near St. Charles.
The fire was reported shortly after 7 p.m.
Kane County property tax records show the home belonging to a trust for Arlene Grabacki, and a St. Charles Township assessment record indicate the owners were Arlene and Casimir Grabacki. Arlene died in 2011 and Casimir in 2006, according to obituaries published in the Daily Herald.
According to the assessment record, the two-story frame house was built in 1970, and in 2012 had an estimated market value of $91,083.
The house fire along Weber Drive was reported shortly after 7 p.m. Friday.
