7 shot at Chicago nightclub during rap concert

Police say seven people were shot and wounded at a Chicago nightclub when a fight broke out during a rap concert.

Police spokesman John Mirabelli says three men pulled guns and began firing around 1:15 a.m. Thursday at Mr. G’s Supper Club and Entertainment Center. Seven people were hit.

He says the shooting in the South Side Auburn Gresham neighborhood appears to have been gang related. No arrests have been made.

All seven of those shot were listed in stable condition at hospitals.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports that the venue was hosting a video release party. According to the paper, a promotional poster indicated rap artists Nino, King Samson and Lil Mouse performed at the event.
