Tinaglia endorses Hayes for Arlington Hts. mayor

After staying neutral for most of the campaign, Arlington Heights village board candidate Jim Tinaglia said Thursday that he endorses Tom Hayes for mayor in next month’s election.

Tinaglia said he has been to events and donated money to all three candidates, but said he felt he had to support Hayes over his competitors Ron Drake and Mark Hellner.

“In the end I’m really confident that for a village board I want to be a part of, I want to have someone up there who is a good, solid, grounded leader that understands this community,” Tinaglia said. “Tom is honest and straightforward and has gained the respect and trust of the community.”

Tinaglia is an architect with his own firm in downtown Arlington Heights and serves on the design commission. He is facing incumbents Bert Rosenberg, Norm Breyer, Joseph Farwell and Thomas Glasgow for four seats on the village board in the April 9 consolidated election.
