Well, we can dream can't we?

Spring officaially began 6:02 a.m. today with Vernal Equinox promises of inreasing daylight, warming temperatures, and the rebirth of flora and fauna.

Suburban residents, however, woke to temperatures in the teens, and Accuweather was reporting 14 degrees in Elk Grove Village shortly after 9:30 today.

Lows in the 20s are expected the rest of the day.

Temperatures should begin climbing slightly on Thursday, into the lower 30s, and reach a high in the 40s by the weekend. It's probably not the time to start looking for those early croscus blooms.
