The Drug Enforcement Administration and the Arlington Heights Police Department will coordinate efforts to remove potentially dangerous drugs from homes as part of the sixth National Prescription Take-Back Initiative.
The program provides an opportunity for the public to surrender unwanted, expired and unused pharmaceuticals and unwanted over-the-counter medication to law enforcement officers for their proper disposal.
The drop off will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, at the Arlington Heights Police Department, 200 E. Sigwalt St. The service is free and anonymous. Tablets, capsules and all other solid dosage forms will be accepted. Intravenous solutions, injectables and syringes will not be accepted.
