Three impaired driving arrests in Wheeling over St. Patrick’s Day

The Wheeling Police Department made three impaired-driving arrests and three other significant arrests during the recent St. Patrick's Day holiday enforcement campaign. In addition, 46 safety belt citations and 32 other citations were written.

Law enforcement agencies throughout the state participated in the effort to get impaired drivers off Illinois roadways during the 2013 St. Patrick's Day holiday.

The effort was funded by federal traffic safety grants awarded through The Illinois Department of Transportation's Division of Traffic Safety, and is part of the statewide "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" and "Click It or Ticket" campaigns.
