About this Article

Carol Stream police on Friday said they haven't yet determined what caused a woman to drive her minivan off a residential street and into the side of a house. The crash occurred about 3:40 p.m. Thursday when the motorist, a 39-year-old Carol Stream resident, was driving her 2002 Chrysler minivan south on Bluff Street. Police said the vehicle crossed through the intersection of Bluff and Hiawatha Drive, jumped a curb and struck the house on the 600 block of Bluff Street.
