Angels rough up Danks

TEMPE, Ariz. — Mike Trout homered and scored three runs, Howie Kendrick and Albert Pujols each had two hits Thursday and the Los Angeles Angels roughed up John Danks in a 12-4 win over the White Sox.

Danks gave up seven hits and six runs in 3 1-3 innings. Trout hit his first home run of spring training leading off the bottom of the first.

Angels left-hander Jason Vargas, in his third spring start, worked 4 2-3 innings and allowed a run and two hits with five strikeouts.

Chicago’s Dewayne Wise hit his second homer, off Scott Downs.
