Highland Middle School to host 5K walk/run benefit

Highland Middle School in Libertyville Elementary District 70 is sponsoring the Hornet Hustle 5K run/walk at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 6. Fees are $40 for adults and $25 for youths aged 9 to 17. All proceeds benefit the COVE Alliance, which provides children in Uganda with a sustainable food source. The race at Independence Grove Forest Preserve on Route 137 east of Route 21 is officially timed. Participants get a T-shirt and there are medals for the top finishers.
