The Mundelein Police Department's next Citizens Police Academy begins at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 28, at the station, 221 N. Lake St., Mundelein. Classes will run every Thursday for 10 weeks, ending with a graduation scheduled for May 30. The academy provides an opportunity for citizens ages 18 to 55 who live and/or work in or near Mundelein to become familiar with the day-to-day operations of the department. Citizens will become informed as to the actual role of the police and the police benefit from the wealth of knowledge the citizens can give about their community. Contact Jennifer Marshall, (847) 968-3770 to apply.
