Update: The Lakers (32-31) finally are starting to make a playoff push, going 15-6 since Jan. 25. Kobe Bryant has been on quite a roll. Not only did he score at least 40 points in the last two games, over his last eight contests Bryant has averaged 35.9 points while shooting 55.6 percent from the field. C Dwight Howard is at 16.2 points and 12.1 rebounds on the season. PG Steve Nash is averaging 12.3 points and 6.8 rebounds. Pau Gasol is out with a torn plantar fascia. The Bulls beat the Lakers 95-83 on Jan. 21 at the United Center behind 22 points from Kirk Hinrich.
