Deadline for voter registration

Tuesday, March 12 is the last day to register to vote with local deputy registrars for the April 9 election. Persons who moved to a new address in the county, turn 18 on or before Election Day, or have changed their name will need to register by then. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, 18 years old on or before the election, a resident of the precinct for 30 days immediately prior to Election Day, and must provide two forms of identification with one form of identification showing the current address for registration. Registration is available at the county clerk's office, 18 N. County St., and at the municipal, township and library facilities. Call (847) 377-2410 to find the nearest location.
