Chili cook off competition:

Antioch VFW Post 4551, 75 North Ave., Antioch, will host its first chili cook-off competition from 2 to 5 p.m. March 23. Judging will be done by patrons who come in to taste the chili in four categories: exotic (to include wild game); mild; suicidal; and, commercial (to include businesses and caterers). There is a $25 fee per entry and a $5 fee for patrons. Trophies and cash prizes will be awarded to first place winners, with a grand prize of $150. Other activities include DJ music, face painting and raffles. Visit antiochvfw.com to register to compete. The deadline is March 15.
