Snow tapering off, roads still slick

Visibility along Route 47 in Lily Lake is very limited as wet snow continues to fall early in the afternoon Tuesday. Cars without headlights on seemed to almost disappear among the snowflakes.

Snow continued to fall into Tuesday night with roads throughout the area remaining slick. Almost 1,200 flights were canceled Tuesday at O’Hare International Airport and Midway Airport.
