Bulletproof council chambers ridiculous

I object to the Elgin City Council’s recent decision to spend taxpayer money to make the council chamber dais bulletproof. Not even Chicago’s council chamber is bullet proof, nor do our children in the public schools have bullet proof protection.

If the council is afraid someone might shoot them, just hold the meetings in the police station. This council is getting ridiculous. Good thing there’s an election coming up.
