Feldman solid, Cubs top Athletics

MESA, Ariz. -- In his first appearance for the Cubs after leaving Texas as a free agent, Scott Feldman gave up one run and two hits in two innings with two strikeouts and two walks.

The Cubs hung on to top the Oakland Athletics 5-3 on Thursday.

Derek Norris hit a fourth-inning home run off Travis Wood, his second home run of spring training. Michael Choice had had two hits, including a second-inning triple that followed a walk to Norris.
