A committee of Illinois House lawmakers advanced the issue of gay marriage in a 6-5 vote last night, moving it forward to its very last hurdle: a full vote by the House of Representatives. After getting 11-inches of snow in Waukegan, the snow has tapered off enough for the National Weather Service to cancel the winter weather advisory early.
