Snow forces rearranged schedule for MSL teams

Tuesday's snow is making for a busy Wednesday for Mid-Suburban League teams, St. Viator and Maine West in the Class 4A boys basketball playoffs.

At Glenbard North, both games scheduled for Tuesday were postponed by a day and will be played at the same time Wednesday: Oak Park-River Forest vs. Glenbard North at 6 p.m., and Schaumburg vs. Morton at 7:30 p.m.

At Hoffman Estates, both Tuesday games will be played Wednesday: Glenbard West vs. Addison Trail at 6 p.m., and Conant vs. Hoffman Estates at 7:30 p.m.

At York, the Lyons and York game scheduled for Tuesday will be played at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. That forces the other semifinal between Bartlett and Leyden to 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

At Deerfield, both Tuesday games were moved to Wednesday in the same time slots: Zion-Benton vs. Deerfield at 6 p.m., followed by Palatine vs. Fremd at 7:30 p.m.

In the Warren regional, Tuesday's Highland Park-Warren game has been moved to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The other semifinal, Barrington vs. Warren, will be played at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

At Lake Zurich, both Tuesday game are moved to Wednesday: Lake Forest vs. Hersey at 6 p.m., and Lake Zurich vs. Mundelein at 7:30 p.m.

In the Prospect regional, Tuesday's Stevenson vs. Grayslake North game has been moved to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. That forces the Prospect-Waukegan game to a 7:30 p.m. Thursday slot.

At St. Patrick, both Tuesday games were moved to Wednesday in the same time slots: New Trier vs. Schurz and 6 p.m., followed by St. Patrick vs. Maine West at 7:30 p.m.

• In the only game involving area teams that was played as scheduled Tuesday, top-seeded Proviso East earned a 94-53 victory over No. 17 Elk Grove. Javon Cater and Kalin Fisher led the way for the Pirates with 17 points apiece in the Proviso West regional.
