Lombard Trustee Laura Fitzpatrick's efforts to complete an unfinished piece by the late muralist Vern Milem have drawn criticism from one area artist who says she has no right to alter another person's work.

The former Lincoln school is depicted on an incomplete painting Lombard Trustee Laura Fitzpatrick is working to finish. The painting hung above the front desk at village hall and was taken down while the desk is undergoing renovations.
