Violence in media part of the problem

Great job, CBS, with the dress code for the Grammy Awards. Now let’s take care of the violence part of the equation. Ban assault weapons from movies and prime time TV. As a result of the Aurora, Colo., movie theater shooting most reasonable people would approve.

If troubled people are not shown how to use assault weapons as a way to get even or to make a media moment, they may find some other outlet for their problems. I went to a gas station mart and a guy was buying some intoxicating drinks and renting extremely violent movie; he said he had some crack cocaine to help him “get into his movie.” How would you like to be his neighbor?
