Review the finances of the township to verify they fall in line with fiscal responsibility.In the 21st Century, with municipalities gobbling up vacant land, why are townships needed? Should they be serving a new role? If so, what?Townships serve a vital role, particularly here in western Kane County. Kaneville sits amongst one of the most farm rich lands in the country and is feeling pressure of expansion from surrounding communities. The Township needs to ensure that the reasonable needs of all the citizens are met.What should be the primary responsibility of township government?Offering the citizens quality services and continue to address issues as they arise. The board should use its best efforts to achieve its goals.In these hard economic times, can you identify some township expenses/programs that could be trimmed or eliminated to reduce the tax burden?A review of the finances would be necessary for me to comment on the expenses or programs that could and/or would possibly be cut or adjusted to ease the tax burden.What specific background or experience do you bring that makes you the best qualified candidate to serve as an elected official in the township?I have been a township resident since 1997. I have run several different business ventures. Many different financial, regulatory and operational challenges have been part of that function, much the same types of challenges that the township board deals with. I can bring that experience and leadership to the board should I be elected.
