How and why?Open gym and leagues for various sports don't pay for themselves, but are a vital service to the community. I would increase funding for these programs and as well as the time allotted for participants. The priority of the park district is to serve the community. While being fiscally conservative, I would not lower accessibility to the park for the general public, or decrease affordability of programs. Is there any additional open space the park district needs to acquire? Please describe. As of now I feel like the space of Dee and Feldman Park are enough. We jsut need to utilize it more effectively. Right now Dee park is under used by the general public. Are there any unmet recreational needs? If yes, what are they and how would you propose paying for them? Or, should they wait until the economy improves? There are many unmet recreational needs, there is more than enough money at Golf Maine Park Distrit, it just needs to be allocated to them. There is no need to wait. For starters both facilities need new equipment for basketball, volleyball, soccer, and ping-pong. I no longer want to see youth playing with old equipment and having to make do with equipment meant for a different setting, having to use outdoor balls when playing on an indoor court for example.Would you support sharing/pooling resources (i.e. printing, vehicles) with other local governments (school districts, village, etc.)? If so, what areas would you consider combining or merging to save money or improve efficiency? As of now I think there are enough resources within Golf Maine. I feel though sharing might complicate getting access to resources we already have. But as far as resources we don't have maybe that can be an option, I am willing to hear any suggestions to save money or improve effeciancy. If you are a newcomer, what prompted you to run for the park board? If you're an incumbent, list your accomplishments or key initiatives in which you played a leadership role.SInce Jr High School I was very familiar with Golf Maine Park District, I want to keep standards high and let others enjoy the park as I did. I feel like I can help the park in that direction if on the board.
