Questions & Answers
Do you support the board's decision to put the library's Kuhn Road property on the market? Would you support a sale or lease of the property? Would you ever support construction of a new library in the village?
Yes I would support the sale or lease of the property. Due to the foreclosures of homes in the community it would not be feasible to support construction of a new library at this time.
What specifically will you do to improve the working relationship among board members?
I would improve relations of the board members by being truthful and ethical.
Why are you running for this office, whether for re-election or election the first time? Is there a particular issue that motivates you, and if so, what is it?
This is my 2nd time and I would like to have the chance to give a younger person's perspective to the issues at hand. To make the library the cultural center of the community.
Do you have a library card? How long have you had it? How often do you use it?
Yes I have a library card for a number of years, and used it on several occations.
What impact have economic and technological changes had on libraries? How does a library remain relevant? How should its role in the community change?
The library has changed with technology. It remains relevant by providing new databases and programing to the community.
