New leadership needed in Winfield

Winfield needs a change in village leadership. That change starts with electing Rob Hanlon as village president in April. He brings pragmatic solutions and specific objectives. I have long felt that government needs to be run more like a business. What better place to start than at the local level? Winfield needs to find new sources of revenue to fund road repairs, local policing, pensions and other services.

The revenue stream needs to come from new sources, and not from continuing to raise water rates, ask for increases in property taxes or ask us to pay for vehicle stickers. Rob will bring his leadership skills to the table to get this village moving in the right direction. Vote for Rob Hanlon for village president, and Jay Olson, Charles Jacques and Tom Blackburn for village board trustees on April 9.
