Andrew Thies has always been good with his money. He could always find great bargains, pay his bills and even go on exotic trips with his modest incomes. His friends kept telling him that he should write a book on how to save money. So he did!
The book, "This Book Will Pay For Itself" was released this past July by Tate Publishing. Its a small paperback book (100 pages) that helps the reader find ways to save money when buying food, clothes and electronics and it also shows you how to create a budget and stick to it.
"The problem most people have is that they don't pay attention to where the money is going." says Thies. " Most people are doing fine financially, but they're always behind because they don't have a budget."
The book not only talks about finding sales but also being smart about spending your money. Thies teaches the reader to stop and think before they purchase something.
"You have to ask yourself, 'Do I really need this or will I actually use this?'" Thies says if you give yourself a few seconds before buying something you more often than not end up putting the item back.
"The first thing I say in the book is the best way to save money is not spend it in the first place"
Thies knows that we all have to spend money and we should enjoy it too. He says we just need to be smarter about it.
Thies laces humor throughout the book to make it less intimidating.
"I know talking about money and budget can scare the hell out of a lot of people!"
Thies says that if anyone just follows some of the ideas in the book that they will save a least enough money to pay for the book, hence the title.
'It's very satisfying to know that this book can help people keep their heads above water and hopefully have a little extra money at the end of the month"
The book is available at Tatepublishing.com, Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com as well as some local independent bookstores.
The book retails for $9.99Copyright © 2013 Paddock Publications, Inc. All rights reserved.
