Aurora Christian wins semifinal
No. 1 seed Aurora Christian used a big second half to roll Reed-Custer 60-34 Wednesday night in the Class 2A Wilmington regional semifinal.
Aurora Christian (18-8) was led by Alyssa Andersen (11 points, 9 rebounds), Alex Hultine (10 points), Kirsten Madsen (8 points, 6 rebounds), Natasha Brown (8 points, 10 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 blocks), and Galbato Hochsprung and Taylor Eaves with 5 points each.
Aurora Christian will play No. 2 seed Seneca for the regional championship at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. The winner advances to next week’s Somonauk sectional at 6 p.m. Monday against the Spring Valley Hall regional winner.
