Times have changed the need for guns

text size: AAA

Here is a quote from a recent column by Charles Krauthammer: "Social Security was created when life expectancy was 62. Medicare was created when modern medical technology was in its infancy. Today's radically different demographics and technology have rendered these programs, as structured, unsustainable."

Can we apply this same logic to our gun laws which were created when the states had volunteer militia and our country "was in its infancy?"

We live in "radically different demographics" and newer gun technology has rendered these laws, "as structured, unsustainable" for the safety of our fellow Americans.
