Small fire hits Itasca warehouse

text size: AAA

Workers moving a pallet at an Itasca warehouse Friday morning hit a gas line that triggered a small fire, authorities said.

The fire occurred at about 11:45 a.m. at TransCeramica, a tile company business at 1159 W. Bryn Mawr Ave., according to Deputy Chief John Radzinski of the Itasca Fire Protection District.

The gas line had been connected to a heater, but it was later reattached by the company's furnace contractor, Radzinski said.

The small fire was quickly put out, he said.

No injuries were reported.
