Memorial Stadium to get massive video display

Next fall, the south end zone at Memorial Stadium in Champaign will have a new video display that will stand 36 feet tall by 96 feet wide. Other sound and video enhancements are planned throughout the stadium.

While its football team continues the rebuilding process, Illinois athletic officials are also working on major improvements to Memorial Stadium next fall.Illini officials announced Wednesday that Daktronics has been hired to design, manufacture and install new video display and sound systems at University of Illinois' Memorial Stadium. The project includes a HD video display measuring 36 feet tall by 96 feet wide.
