Two stabbed at Aurora apartment

Two men were stabbed during a possible home invasion Wednesday evening in Aurora, officials said.

The stabbings occurred about 7:24 p.m. on the 500 block of Fourth Avenue in an upper-level apartment, according to a release from Dan Ferrelli, Aurora's director of public information. The victims are 22 and 32; one was stabbed in the arm, and the other was stabbed in the neck.

Shots were fired after the stabbing, police said. Neither victim was hit by the gunfire.

Both men were transported to an Aurora hospital and are undergoing surgery.
