Ÿ Someone knocked over and broke a mailbox in the 11N400 block of Muirhead Road near Elgin between 12:01 a.m. Jan. 19 and 4:49 p.m. Jan. 21, according to a sheriff’s report.
Ÿ Anthony H. Bruno, 32, of the 200 block of Acorn Drive, Streamwood, was charged with driving under the influence, DUI with a blood alcohol concentration of more than .08, and improper lane use after a traffic stop at 11:33 p.m. Jan. 20 at Route 25 and May Lane near St. Charles, according to a sheriff’s report.
Ÿ A black Nissan Altima parked in front of an abandoned home in the 9N500 block of Muirhead Road near Elgin was recovered at 3 p.m. Jan. 20 as a vehicle that was previously reported as stolen, according to a sheriff’s report.
