The State Board of Education named 26 Northwest suburban elementary schools to the Illinois Honor Roll on Monday — half of them from one district alone. School districts receiving the honor included Wheeling Township District 21, Arlington Heights District 25, River Trails District 26, Schaumburg Township District 54, Mount Prospect District 57, Elk Grove Township District 59 and Des Plaines District 62. District 54 alone has 13 schools on the list.
