The Cary Park District and Dr. Woods Guitar Emporium are looking for local teen bands to compete in the Cary Area Teen Battle of the Bands competition. The competition will take place on the afternoon of Saturday, May 11, at the Lions Park Rotary Bandshell.

The Battle of the Bands competition gives local musicians a way to showcase their talent in front of an audience. The winning band is decided by a panel of judges and will move on to compete in the regional competition. The winner of the regional competition will move on to compete in the state competition in Springfield.

Spots are limited. Interested bands must submit a completed entry form to the Cary Park District Community Center. Entry forms are available online at www.carypark.com. Completed forms should be returned to the Community Center, 255 Briargate Road beginning Feb. 1.
