Trial for Ingleside woman, son in fatal drug case pushed to March
The trial date for two Ingleside family members accused of supplying drugs that killed a friend has been pushed back to March.
Brian Stedronsky, 33, and his mother, Carolyn, 52, both of the 35000 block of North Milwaukee Avenue, will go to trial March 4 in front of Judge Daniel Shanes.
Brian Stedronsky is accused of supplying Jeffrey Ferris, 30, with patches of the highly-potent pain reliever Fentanyl, authorities said.
Ferris was found dead in his Ingleside home on Sept. 18, authorities said, after he cut open two of the patches of Fentanyl and sucked out the pain reliever.
Brian Stedronsky allegedly received the patches from his mother, authorities said, who took the patches from her unidentified husband. Her husband had used the patches to fight the effects of back surgery, and was unaware they had been taken, authorities said.
Following a six-week investigation, the two were arrested and charged with drug-induced homicide on Dec. 4.
Carolyn Stedronsky remains in Lake County jail in lieu of $250,000 bond, while Brian Stedronsky remains in jail in lieu of $350,000 bond.
