Nobody was injured and no other businesses in the strip mall were affected, he said.

The cause of the fire is investigation, but Stout said one of the employees said some boxes in the business caught fire.

The sprinkler system activated, so crews were able to extinguish the fire in less than 15 minutes. Authorities estimated it caused an estimated $80,000 in damage.

The East Dundee, Rutland-Dundee and West Dundee fire departments assisted.

No one answered the phone at Taylor Street Pizza on Thursday night.
